State Rep. Ben Moss is a small business owner, husband, and father -- The conservative Republican running for re-election to the North Carolina House. Moss is Endorsed by Grass Roots NC, Moore Families for Quality Education (Against CRT), and an "A" Rating from the National Rifle Association (NRA).
Since elected, Ben has stood up against the Joe Biden & Roy Cooper agenda and opposed mask and vaccine mandates. Ben has fought hard against critical race theory indoctrination in schools, stopped all efforts by the Left to defund the police, and has continued to defend our 2nd Amendment rights and protect the unborn.
Ben Moss is a husband and father of two children, a lifelong resident of Rockingham, and a graduate of Richmond Senior High School. As an avid sportsman and member of the NRA, Moss firmly supports and defends the 2nd Amendment. In 2010, Moss was the first Republican elected to the Richmond County Board of Commissioners and held that seat for 3 terms up until his election to the NC House.
In the 2020 election, Moss became the first Republican to represent Richmond County in the NC House. Moss was appointed by House Speaker Tim Moore to serve as Vice Chairman of the Transportation and Local Government committees, and to serve as a committee member on Appropriations, Appropriations – Transportation, and Commerce.
This session, Moss co-sponsored legislation to prohibit the Governor from mandating vaccines, repealed the racist “Jim Crow” pistol purchase permit requirements, and fought against Critical Race Theory indoctrination in the K-12 public education system.
Moss was led into the political arena by his innate drive to make our community a better place to live, work, and raise a family. His blue-collar experiences coupled with his last decade of public service have prepared him to cut through bureaucracy and make the government work better for the people. Moss is a Christian conservative that holds firm on his values.
Ben is married to his beautiful wife Amber Harris and they have two wonderful children, Maggie (15) and Sam (10). Moss continues to build their home in Rockingham where his children attend Richmond County Schools and are members of the Church of God of Prophecy.
