Chairman of the NC House Wildlife Committee
Republican Candidate for Labor Commissioner
Streamlining regulations: As Labor Commissioner, I will work to streamline regulations and cut bureaucratic red tape that stifles small businesses and entrepreneurs. We need to create an environment that fosters innovation and growth, and I believe that less regulation will help make that happen.
Encouraging workforce development: One of the biggest challenges facing North Carolina is the skills gap. I will work to encourage workforce development and job training programs that will help our workers gain the skills they need to compete in the 21st-century economy. We need to invest in our people if we want to remain competitive.
Ensuring workplace safety: The safety of workers should be a top priority for any Labor Commissioner. I will work to ensure that employers are following safety regulations and that workers have access to the training and equipment they need to stay safe on the job. By prioritizing workplace safety, we can prevent accidents and injuries and improve the lives of North Carolina workers.
